With the theme"Think Beyond the City:Reimagine Klang's Future",the 2026 Belt and Road International Student Competition on Digital Architectural Design selected Klang,Selangor,Malaysia,as the project site.The competition focused on the application of digital technologies in the regeneration of historic port areas and the integration of diverse cultures.This year's competition drew entries from 31 universities across six countries and regions,including Indonesia,Malaysia,the Chinese mainland,Taiwan,China,the Philippines,and the United Kingdom.Following a rigorous evaluation by the expert committee,10 teams were shortlisted for the on-site final.
赛事首次将决赛环节落地马来西亚，入围团队在巴生进行现场终审答辩，由专家委员会评定最终名次。通过现场答辩与作品展览，竞赛促进了跨国界的学术对话与青年交流，产生了一批兼具前瞻性与落地潜力的设计方案，为巴生新镇的可持续发展注入了国际视野与创新活力。
For the first time,the competition staged its final round in Malaysia.The shortlisted teams made their way to Klang for the final on-site defense and presentation,where the expert committee determined the final rankings.Through on-site presentations and exhibitions,the competition fostered cross-cultural academic dialogue and youth exchange.A number of forward-looking and feasible proposals were developed,bringing international perspectives and fresh ideas to the sustainable development of Bandar Baru Klang.
